Situation
As a part of its traveling "Moneyville" exhibition, The Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) asked Live Axle to create a touch-screen kiosk application that explained the concept of compound interest. The kiosk application needed to be visually engaging while still clearly explaining commerce and money to young children.
Solution
Live Axle turned the dry subject matter into a delightful and entertaining Flash application. The touch-screen kiosk presentation features two characters who approach saving in different ways. We also developed a savings calculator that allowed youngsters to play with their own savings ideas and see if they could eventually retire as Millionaires.
Result
As part of the larger "Moneyville" exhibit the "Make a Million" kiosk is traveling children's museums across the country- entertaining and educating thousands. The traveling exhibit provides additional funds back to OMSI, supporting their continued efforts to enrich the community.
