Situation
TWIST, a successful regional retailer in the Northwest, wanted to expand their reach on to the web. Their brand image demanded that they do it right the first time or not at all. They were looking for a design that represented the high aesthetics of the TWIST name and a flawless web shopping experience.
Solution
Live Axle developed a custom presentation layer on top of a leading e-commerce storefront package using Microsoft's .NET solution and SQL Server that works with TWIST's inventory and ordering system. Collaborating with The Felt Hat on the design, we made sure the site stayed as close to the true "TWIST Experience" as possible. Live Axle also provided TWIST assistance with search engine ad word management and email promotional services.
Result
TWIST expanded its business through a new online presence and has benefited with an increase in sales and company recognition. Within the first week of the e-commerce site, purchases from around the US had been made - immediately proving that the "regional" retailer has now joined the national retail arena. As the featured "Site of the Week" on www.luckymag.com (December 2004), TWIST Online continues to gain additional exposure and recognition as a trusted source for designer jewelry.
