CSI Interactive Kiosks
for OMSI / CBS
Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) turns to Liveaxle to create interactive Flash elements for CSI: The Experience exhibit.

Live Axle teamed with the Oregon Museum of Science and Industry (OMSI) to develop 13 interactive touch-screen kiosks for an elaborate exhibit based on the CBS television show CSI. Called CSI: The Experience, the exhibit consisted of three physical “crime scenes” that visitors can move through and explore. Each scene holds clues – fibers, DNA, etc. – that the visitor can access to help solve a hypothetical crime.

We lent our expertise by creating interactive Flash kiosks for touch screens throughout the installation. Visitors used the touch-screen kiosks to test materials like a true forensic scientist. Ultimately testing their theories against the “actual” crime. This was a complex real and virtual project so we maintained communication across a variety of contractors, ensuring continuity in design and intent across all exhibition touch points.

The exhibit has been translated into several languages and continues to entertain and educate audiences around the world. It has won many prestigious awards for educational outreach, design and innovation.
