We’re always intrigued and excited by new opportunities to interface with technology. So we couldn’t miss the chance to create new experiences for the iPhone and iPad. For this project, we were our own client.
First, we targeted three different tiers of products for our own creation:
1. Bubble Pop - a free bubble pop experience
2. ROYGBIV - a fun new game concept incorporating real-world positioning and many other mobile capabilities.
3. Nurtr - a complex basal-tracking application that helped women track their fertility cycles.
We launched all three products, and held our breath. We were very happy that each app was successful in the Apple iTunes store. But after a few high fives and some serious discussion we’ve chosen to stay focused on our core business of creating amazing interactive experiences for our clients.
Through the experience we gained valuable new insights into how users interact with and use these new touch screen interfaces. Today, we apply these insights to our client work when we design for web platforms that are accessed by all types of devices.
